Terms of Use
Using this site means accepting what is below. It is short on purpose.
What this site is
ResumeBuildersFree (https://resumebuildersfree.com) is a free tool for writing a resume and downloading it as a PDF. It is operated by Vitor Aguiar, an individual established in Portugal.
It is free, and it stays free
The builder, the templates and the PDF download cost nothing. There is no account, no trial, no watermark on your file, and no payment step between you and your finished resume. The site's name is a promise, and these terms do not reserve a right to break it.
The site may carry advertising in order to pay for itself. Advertising will never be placed inside the editing surface, and it will never be a condition of downloading your resume.
Your resume is yours
You keep every right to what you write. We claim no licence over it, and we could not use it if we wanted to: it never reaches us. See the privacy policy for how that works.
The templates themselves — the layouts, the typography, the site's design and code — remain ours. You may use them freely to produce your own resume and do anything you like with the resulting file, including commercial use. You may not repackage the templates or the site itself as your own product or service.
Your responsibilities
- Write truthfully. What you put on your resume is entirely your responsibility.
- Keep your own copy. Your work lives only in your browser, so clearing your browser data erases it.
- Do not use the site to break the law or to harm anyone.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the site or to make automated bulk requests against it.
What we do not promise
The site is provided as it is. We try hard to make it correct and available, and the resume engine is tested — but we cannot promise that it will be free of errors, available at any given moment, or suitable for a particular application. Always open your downloaded PDF and read it before sending it to an employer.
Nothing here is career, legal or employment advice. Guidance on this site reflects research and experience, and no one can promise that a resume will get you an interview.
Because your work is stored only in your browser, we cannot recover it if you lose it. Clearing site data, using a private window, or switching devices will lose your draft.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site — including a lost opportunity, a missed application, or a resume that did not produce the outcome you hoped for. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Links to other sites
Where we link elsewhere, we do not control that site and are not responsible for it.
Changes, and ending use
These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. You can stop using the site at any time — there is no account to close. We may restrict access to anyone who abuses the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal, and the courts of Portugalhave jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country.
