What is most useful to send

Something is broken

Especially a problem with a downloaded PDF. Tell me which template you used, what went wrong, and — if you can — what you had typed when it happened. Layout bugs are the ones I most want to hear about, because the file you download is the whole point of the site.

The advice here is wrong

If something on this site contradicts your experience of actually hiring people or being hired, tell me. Corrections get made and the page's revision date changes. The editorial policy explains how that works.

A privacy request

Rights under the GDPR are answered within one month. In practice there is remarkably little to act on, because your resume never reaches us — the privacy policy sets out exactly what is and is not held.

Linking to this site

If you run a career centre, a library, a community college or a jobseeker programme and want to point people at a genuinely free tool, no permission is needed — link away. If you want something specific, such as a page aimed at a particular situation your people keep asking about, say so. That is useful to know.

Who you are writing to

Vitor Aguiar, software developer, Portugal. There is no support team and no ticket system — replies come from me, usually within a few days.

Why there is no contact form

A form has to send your message somewhere, which means either a third-party service or a server of our own. This site's security policy forbids the page from submitting data anywhere at all, and that restriction is what makes "your resume never leaves your device" something your browser enforces rather than something we claim. Keeping it intact is worth more than the convenience of a form.
