Privacy Policy
Short version: your resume never leaves your device, there are no accounts, and this site sets no cookies.
Who is responsible
ResumeBuildersFree is run by Vitor Aguiar, an individual established in Portugal. Because the operator is established in the European Union, this site is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese Law no. 58/2019, whichever country you are reading from. The supervisory authority is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Your resume is not sent to us
Everything you type into the resume builder stays in your browser. It is not transmitted to this site, not stored on a server, and not visible to anyone but you. There is no account to create and nothing to log in to.
Three things enforce that, rather than merely promising it:
- The builder contains no code that sends your resume anywhere. There is no upload endpoint to send it to.
- The site sends a Content-Security-Policy header that restricts which servers the page may contact at all, and forbids form submissions outright. Your browser enforces this, not us.
- You can watch it happen. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and fill in the whole form. Nothing leaves.
What is stored on your device
So that your work survives closing the tab, the builder saves to your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie: it is never sent to any server, including ours, and it stays on the device you used.

You can erase all of it at any time. The builder has a Start over button that clears everything, and your browser's "clear site data" removes it too. Since we never receive any of it, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
What our server sees
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers process technical information in order to deliver the page to you — your IP address, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string, and the time. This is needed to serve the site and to protect it from abuse, and it is the only personal data processed on our side. Cloudflare acts as our processor under a data processing agreement.
We do not combine this with anything else, and we do not try to identify you from it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for advertising. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The analytics described below are cookieless, which is the reason that is still true.
Analytics
Since 13 September 2026 this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views.
It sets nothing on your device, gives you no identifier, and cannot recognise you when you come back or follow you to any other site. What it records is the page you opened, the site you arrived from if any, and the coarse details your browser sends to every server anyway — country, browser, device type. That is the whole of it.
It exists to answer one question: which pages are worth writing more of. It cannot answer questions about you, and it is not built to.
You can verify this. Open your browser's network panel: the only requests leaving this page fetch the counter's script from static.cloudflareinsights.com and send the page view tocloudflareinsights.com. Nothing you typed into the builder is in either. The site's Content-Security-Policy also forbids the page from opening a connection to anywhere else at all, so this is enforced by your browser rather than promised by us.
Advertising
There is no advertising on this site yet.
That is likely to change: this site is free, and advertising is how it is intended to pay for itself. When it arrives, this page will be updated on the same day, the date at the top will change, and this section will say precisely what is running and what it collects. If advertising ever serves personalised ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent choice will be presented before that happens, as those rules require.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
In practice those rights have very little to bite on here, because we hold almost nothing: your resume is on your device, and the only personal data we process is the server-log information described above. If you want to exercise a right, write to info@resumebuildersfree.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain directly to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or to the authority in your own country if you are in the EU.
Children
This site is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. Teenagers writing a first resume are welcome to use it — and since nothing they type reaches us, using it collects nothing about them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. We do not roll that date to look current.
